Add an org/project setting to opt out of the "Need a hand with PR review? Try Gitar by Sonar!" promo

Every PR decoration comment from sonarqubecloud[bot] now ends with:

:light_bulb: Need a hand with PR review? Try Gitar by Sonar!

This shows on the Quality Gate summary of every PR across our org. The Quality Gate comment is a CI signal our devs rely on — a third-party product promo inside it is unwanted noise on every PR, and we have no way to remove it (it’s rendered server-side, not by the scanner or sonarqube-scan-action).

Ask: an org- or project-level setting to disable the promo footer without disabling PR decoration itself.

Env: SonarQube Cloud + GitHub, sonarqube-scan-action v8.2.1, comment by sonarqubecloud[bot], first seen mid-July 2026.

Does such a setting exist? If not, can one be added?

As a note, if not. This is likely the last straw for us and we’ll be switching back over to Advanced Security /GitHub.

Hello @webghost, it’s not possible to disable only that footer. The closest thing is to disable the summary comment altogether. Thanks for the feedback, I’ll pass it on to our PMs.

Just one note: this is not a 3rd-party promo. Gitar is a Sonar product.

It’s a promo. Regardless. We don’t want it. It’s an upsell. Pretty lame on your part. Please exclude it or give us ability to toggle it. It’s noise and confusing for our teams when we use/leverage different products.
