6.7.x to 6.7.5 upgrade doc confusion

Must-share information (formatted with Markdown):

  • which versions: 6.7.4 LTS with developer license. Installed as docker container. Latest plugins where marketplace allow. ( id do see license and developer updates, but no option to run the update)
  • what are you trying to achieve: upgrade to 6.7.5
  • what have you tried so far to achieve this - None

The upgrade note for 6.7.5 has this statement:

  • Because a new server identifier will be generated at upgrade to this version, startup will fail unless you upgrade your commercial edition to the latest compatible version.

Need help to digest that statement. how do I figure out my developer edition is latest compatible version

Hi Dan,

When you upgrade from 6.7.4 to 6.7.5, you have in any case to download and manually install the latest 6.7.5 commercial edition bundle: https://docs.sonarqube.org/display/SONARQUBE67/SonarSource+Editions

This will upgrade the license plugin to a version which is compatible only with SonarQube 6.7.5+.
